Team USA makes tourney debut

Team USA made their 2017 WBC debut against Colombia, and Chicago White Sox ace Jose Quintana. After a slow start, going hitless until a Brandon Crawford single in the 6th and trailing 2-0, Team USA began to chip away.

After an Adam Jones double drove in Crawford, Third baseman Nolan Arenado swung on a third strike, but the wild pitch got away from Colombia catcher Jhonatan Solano, enabling Arenado to reach first and Kinsler to score tying the game at 2-2.

In the 10th, left fielder Christian Yelich and shortstop Brandon Crawford worked one out walks, and second baseman Ian Kinsler advanced the runners. Adam Jones was once again clutch, down 0-2 with two outs, he  was able to get bat on ball scoring Yelich and giving the US a dramatic opening game win.
